Korean Red Ginseng FAQs

Does Korean and ginseng help lower blood cholesterol?

Studies have shown that Korean red ginseng helps improve lipid metabolism, thereby lowering blood cholesterol. In a clinical study conducted with menopausal women, total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol levels were reported to decrease after 12 weeks of consuming Korean red ginseng. However, new consumers should be especially careful. You should start with a reduced dose (for example, half or one third of the normal dose) and lengthen the intervals between each dose (for example, once every 2-3 days) for the first month. Check your body's response before slowly increasing the recommended daily dose. Note : If you suffer from severe hypercholesterolemia, consult your doctor before taking Korean red ginseng.
